The Information Technology Unit at Harare Polytechnic is responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all technology resources across the institution. We provide reliable and secure IT services that support teaching, learning, research, and administration. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that students and staff have access to modern technology and seamless digital experiences.
First-line technical support for students and staff – troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Management of campus-wide wired and wireless networks, ensuring high-speed connectivity in all buildings.
Maintenance of institutional servers, email systems, student portal, and learning management systems.
Protection of institutional data and systems through firewalls, antivirus, and security awareness training.
Backup, recovery, and secure storage of institutional data and academic records.
Development and maintenance of the polytechnic website, portals, and internal applications.
Workshops and short courses for staff and students on various IT skills and software.
Repair and maintenance of computers, printers, and other IT equipment across campus.
A modern, secure data center housing servers, storage, and network equipment with redundant power and cooling.
High-speed Wi-Fi available across all lecture halls, library, labs, and common areas.
Multiple well-equipped computer labs with modern workstations and software for student use.
