The Finance Department at Harare Polytechnic is responsible for the sound financial management of the institution. We oversee budgeting, accounting, procurement, payroll, and financial reporting. Preparation and monitoring of institutional budgets in line with strategic objectives.

Financial Accounting

Maintenance of accurate financial records, ledgers, and preparation of financial statements.

Payroll Management

Timely and accurate processing of salaries, wages, and statutory deductions for all staff.

Revenue Collection

Management of student fees, grants, and other income streams.

Procurement & Accounts Payable

Processing of purchase orders, vendor payments, and contract management.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, policies, and audit requirements.

Financial Reporting

Preparation of periodic financial reports for management, council, and external stakeholders.

Student Billing & Collections

Managing student accounts, fee structures, and payment plans.

Commercial Ventures

Oversight of polytechnic business units, including the campus bookshop, cafeteria, and conference facilities.

Donor Fund Management

Administration of grants and donations from partners and development agencies.

Financial oversight of capital projects, including new buildings and renovations.
